I hate to admit it, but this subscription actually pays for itself. I use it way more than I expected, so I guess my wallet can stop being dramatic for once.

The lessons had a lot more detail than I thought they would, especially the sections on weather and radio communication. Those parts ended up being super helpful. Weirdly, I still remember the example about reading changing cloud patterns because I was eating a slightly crushed granola bar while watching it. Overall, really glad I went through it.

I ordered a kneeboard and a couple of small pilot supplies from Sporty’s, and overall it was a smooth experience. The product descriptions were easy to understand, and the photos were accurate, so what arrived was exactly what I thought I was getting. Shipping did take one day longer than I expected, but everything was packed well and showed up in good shape. Their prices aren’t always the lowest, but the items I received feel like solid quality. I’d be comfortable ordering from them again.

But in the end, the refund was handled just fine, and the drama stayed mostly in my head.

Some of the prices can be a little on the high side, but the selection is really solid. I like that most of the pilot stuff I’m looking for is all in one place, so I can usually find what I need without making a whole afternoon out of it.
